Announcement Regarding futekiya Library and COVID-19

Thank you for your continued support of the futekiya Library.

We hope you are staying safe during this time brought on by the outbreak of COVID-19.
We hope that we can all work together during this time and prevent furthering detriment.

Accordingly, we would like to inform you of three updates concerning futekiya Library.

Unfortunately, as many of you may have already heard, people in Tokyo, where the futekiya Library Team is based, have been issued a request to refrain from going outside. Therefore, we, as well as many publishers, are working from home and are restricted from commuting to our offices.
Consequently, our negotations with publishers have been delayed. This has negatively impacted the number of titles that were slated for a May release. As a result, there may be some days without a daily release.

However, although delayed, discussions are continuing, and we are working to have these new titles ready for release on the 1st of June.
A detailed schedule of releases from June onward will be announced on a later date.
We deeply apologize for the instability of our services and hope for your understanding.

We also regret to announce that the implementation of the following features and payment method below

will be pushed back to June, a month later than the prospective release of April or May, as we previously announced.

・ Long-term Subscription Plans
・ PayPal as a Method of Payment
・ Gift Codes

Due to stay-at-home requests from the Government of Japan and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the futekiya Library Team have been working remotely since early April.
Measures taken to adapt to the sudden changes were not sufficient, which resulted in various delays.
Again, improvements to the payment methods are continuing. However, the speed has decreased on both ends, adversely affecting our development plans.

We deeply apologize for not being able to implement this important improvement. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Lastly, we would like to end on a positive note.

Across the globe, people are staying inside, along with the phrase “Stay Home.”
For all of us to prevent avoidable casualties and to overcome this situation, we must all work together and “Stay Home.” However, as the days and weeks pass, stress and uneasiness may emerge and linger.

Therefore, we have decided to make the futekiya Library free until the 31st of May.

For those already subscribed to futekiya, we will automatically halt payments that would usually be charged between the 1st and 31st of May, and will postpone it until the 1st of June.

For those who subscribe during the month of May, the period between subscription and the 31st of May will be treated as a free trial period and you will not be charged. Your first payment will be for the month of June, billed on the 1st of June.

For details regarding the free period, please refer to the separate page we have prepared.

That is all for our announcements and updates so far!

During this turbulent time, we, the futekiya Library Team, are diligently following safety procedures and are doing our best to ensure we can offer a reliable and stable service for you. We hope to do our part so that we can overcome these difficult circumstances together.

As always, thank you for supporting futekiya!
